It's a Sale!! And A Train!

Hello again all you Kellybell Designs fans, it's Princess Aurora and Princess Belle. If you remember us from last August, we are here to once again take over Kelly's store, try everything on, eat all her food and give everything away. Well.... sorta maybe.

Every year at the end of August, Kelly and her family take a break, take a vacation and get mentally prepared for her girls to start back to school. While she's not here, all the princesses are coming out and hosting a royally amazing sale. You know you love Kellybell Designs and all her fabulous collections, so for a whole week the entire store will be 50% off (excluding bundles and gift certificates of course). That's a castle sized sale so stock up on all your favorite kits, word arts, page starters, date stamps, paper stacks, paper packs, add-ons, alphas and embellishments.

The 50% off sale starts on Friday August 30th and end at midnight EST on Sunday September 8th. That's plenty of time to browse through the store, check out the CT layouts for inspiration and decide how to fill up your shopping cart. All of these gorgeous collections can be found at www.KellybellDesigns.com.

Another fun event for this princess party is a Creative Team Blog Train. You know you love these too!!! The theme is 'Girls Only Paper Stacks'. Each CT gal has made a paper stack for a female Disney character. That royally rocks!!

Here is the path for the blog train. Make sure you stop at each CT gal's blog and pick up your paper stack. In the end you'll have 17 papers.

JessicaK <-------  YOU ARE HERE!!

My female character was Jessie the Yodeling Cowgirl from Toy Story! I adore her and her p;ayful attitude! Plus Joan Cusack who does her voice is one of my favorite actresses! Here is my paperstack freebie for her. Have fun shopping the sale and collecting all these girls only paper stacks. Enjoy!

He's Got Biceps to Share! New from Kellybell Designs!

The Fantasyland expansion at Walt Disney World has brought a beloved character to life, the brave and mighty Gaston. He's handsome, he's strong and.... he's arrogant and uncultured. All that makes him a fun character for a meet and greet. He's happy to show off his biceps or challenge you to an arm wrestling match. Plus he's got his own statue and tavern inside Fantasyland. All this newness means you'll be taking tons of pictures of the new area, new character and new dining spot. Today, Kelly's collection is focused on that special guy, Gaston.
Introducing....

With so many princess kits in her store, it was fun for Kelly to focus on a very manly collection. This kit has dark, rich colors in manly patterns and plaids. For elements, you'll find a bicep arm, antlers, chandelier, beer glass, beer stein, tavern sign, tree, barrels, arrows, flowers, ropes, boot, belt, bow, tavern building, flairs, ribbons, hand mirror, Gaston silhouette, journal tags and much more. The full alpha is a deep dark red with a black outline.

Here's a pack of word art titles that are perfect for topping your photos from meeting Gaston or dining at Gaston's Tavern.

Don't forget the ever popular page starters and paper stacks. Are you addicted to these yet? They're really helpful for getting a jump start on your layouts.

This new collection, 'My What A Guy', is available at www.KellybellDesigns.com for 25% off this weekend only. You'll find lots a fabulous Disney inspired kits in her store.

You can use this kit to scrap any outdoorsy photos, walks through the woods, hunting trips as well as pictures with Gaston and dining at Gaston's Tavern. Check out the Kellybell Designs blog or Facebook page to see all the CT layouts. Here's a page that I scrapped. Being able to go to see the Fantasyland Expansion this summer was an absolute dream! The Disney Imagineers did such a fabulous job with so much attention to detail. Of course, I completely forgot to actually go inside Gaston's Tavern! "slapping myself on the forehead" DUH!! But we will be back soon enough for more Gaston pics!!

A great new manly kit deserves some matching manly freebies to go with it. Kelly's Creative Team has 3 freebies for you to gather. So strap on your black boots and belt, grab your bow and arrows, and strut on over to the following blogs to pick up your manly prizes. Have a great weekend!!

Running in Wonderland

Today I did something for a first....
I got my butt out of bed...drove to George  Washington Parkway to the Mount Vernon Trail by myself, and ran...well, more like jogged....ok I'm exaggerating, crawled 7 MILES!!
Here was the beginning of my run!

Holy cow!! That was the hardest thing I have done to date. A 10K is a piece of cake now!
So....I decided to start slow. YIKES!! I didn't know I was gonna get slower! Haha!! My mistake that I will correct before my next long run....start with my run/walk intervals and then increase speed. This is a total learning process for me. The other problem is that the path I take for long runs seems like it is ALL UP HILL!! How is this possible?? I think I remember going up hill 16 times but only down hill twice! Ok....something was wrong.....was I running in Wonderland. (If you are familiar with any of the adaptations of Alice in Wonderland, you will know exactly what I'm talking about....tricks and turns...mazes and loops!!)
At one point, I thought I had run into the Mad Hatter...I literally saw this one dude on a bike 3 times!!! Was he lost....was a stalker....was he just trying to check me out?? Or maybe he lost his mind and thought he was going in the right direction the entire time?? Uummmm...makes you wonder...
At one point, I did encounter bread-n-butterflies. The birds and flowers were singing to me or were  they frantically telling me to turn around cuz i was the maddest one around.
Of course.....i saw the White Rabbit too!! He passed me twice and both times was looking at his watch! Yes, folks, I was officially looney on this run!! HA!!
This was my halfway mark where I turned around...it was I still going in the same direction???

I was even having arguments with signs on the road! I started telling the "Reduce Speed Ahead" sign that I couldn't go any slower and every time I saw a Stop sign, I had to hiss at it!
This one sign made me laugh...I signaled that I was finally going down hill and there was a chance I could see bikes losing control in the icy conditions today...See even the signs were "mad!!"

I passed the Cheshire Cat once...she was walking and smiling from ear to eat!! Another "mad" one!! No one can be that happy in this trail!! hehe!!

Oh an let's not forget Tweedle Dumb was lost an looking for her twin! He had the nerve to ask as I hobbled along where the closest store was! OMG!! Who does that?? "Madness!!" ;)

At the last half mile, I saw Glinda the  Good ride pass me... WAIT!! When did I arrive in Oz!?!?!?

Anyways....once my Garmin beeped at Mile 7, it woke me up from my slumber and i walked back to the car. Seeing my little VW never made me happier!!
Well, I did it!! Was it a dream? Am I just waking up??? Nope...that's impossible! If I was dreaming, I wouldn't finished A LOT faster!! I RAN SEVEN MILES!!! And even though I was under my normal pace, it did not matter to me! I started and I finished, and it is the best feeling ever!!! I am in love with my new kicks.
Aren't they purple-y pretty!!?!?
They have already got me through 10 miles so far with many more to come!!

Til next time...keep it real folks!! You never know what you'll encounter!!
Have a magical evening!!

Can you believe August is Here?!?! New Challenge!

Oh my, it's the dog days of summer. August is finally here. Summer vacations are in full swing and all the kiddos are riding bikes or swimming in the pools. Ahhhh, summer time! Do you think you can get motivated enough for another monthly challenge? Food is always a good motivator. Kelly's newest blog challenge is all about snacking and eating. It's called "I'm Hungry!"

Here's the participation prize you'll receive this month for playing along. CT member Sharon has made a beautiful set of journal cards for you. Everyone who submits a layout will receive a participation prize. And the most outstanding layout will receive a gift certificate to Kelly's store.

Here are the rules and instructions to participation in the Monthly Blog Challenge:
  • Scrap a page about a Disney dining experience. This can be a character meal, signature dining, counter service meal, snacks, room service or anything with food.
  • While the instructions are written for Walt Disneyworld, please adapt them for any of the other Disney parks around the world.
  • You can use as many photos as you want and include as many elements and papers that you choose. We want to see your creativity sparkle!
  • Layouts should be made with 100% Kellybell products or freebies (you are allowed to use a template from another designer). You are welcome to submit more than 1 layout.
  • Post your layout into the Challenges Gallery at Kellybell Designs by midnight EST August 31st. Participation prizes will be sent to the email address you have listed with Kelly's gallery.
The most outstanding layout will be announced the first week of September. That's also when the participation prizes will be sent out. Check your stash to see what Kellybell Designs kits you already own or take some time to browse through Kelly's store to see if you want to pick up a new collection to scrap with.

Here are a few of Kelly's kits that might be helpful for this challenge.

You can find lots of inspiration at Kelly's Blog to give you some ideas of what to scrap for this challenge. Here is my page.

  Good luck with the challenge!
