Summer Time Fun with 2 Boys You Know...

Those crazy boys of summer are the theme of Kelly's newest collection featuring Phineas and Ferb. Those two are always up to no good and getting in trouble keeping themselves busy over the summer. Disney certainly has captured all the fun and playfulness with these 2 characters. Their meet and greet area inside Disney's Hollywood Studios is full of playful backgrounds, bright colors and fun props. You're going to love all the whimsical fun with....

This versatile collection can be used to scrap your meetings with Phineas and Ferb, The Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and other Playhouse Disney friends. Plus the colors are wonderful for the Hollywood and Vine character meal. Inside this kit you'll find a wooden fence, guitars, surf board, flairs, a doll for Phineas, Ferb and Perry, frames, kite, tree, tire swing, saw, pliers, paint brush, screws, stars, leaves, flowers, banner, hammer, strings and much more. The papers have fun stripes, polka dots and other zany patterns.

These page starters and paper stacks are bursting with bright colors! The adorable frame clusters are so cute. These are incredibly versatile and make scrapping a breeze.

For fabulous titles, Kelly's made a set of 5 word arts. They're so adorable with the guitars and character dolls.

The 'Summer in Danville' collection is 25% off this weekend only so make sure you grab it at www.KellybellDesigns.com.

There's so many ways to scrap using this kit. All the Playhouse Disney characters fit perfectly with this color palette. Since I have never met the Playhouse Disney characters, I had to think a little outside the box. I had a meet N greet with Mickey and Pluto in the Disney Visa Card Members Room at EPCOT, and the backdrop works perfectly with this kit. What do you think? Here's my page:

Kelly's Creative Team has some fabulous coordinating freebies for you. You can pick these up below. Have a great weekend and have fun scrapping with is new colorful collection. It just makes you happy!

Breaking News...Kellybell Designs is Having a Guest CT Call!!

Listen up you Kellybell Designs fans... Kelly is having a Guest CT Call this week. Don't miss out on applying for this one!! If you love Kelly's designs and you love Disney scrapping, then send her an application this week. We'd love to have you join the team!

Q: What would it be like to be a Guest?
If you're selected for a guest spot, you'll be assigned a 2-month term. You'll be scrapping a layout once a week for Kelly's newest collection and creating a layout for the Monthly Blog Challenge. It's so exciting to see what Kelly has created each week!! Seeing all the layouts from the current CT gals is very inspiring and everyone is so supportive and friendly.

Q: What kind of experience do I need? Do I need a blog?
First you should be a Disney lover with lots of Disney photos to scrap. You should have several layouts in your gallery to show Kelly what kind of scrapping style you have. As a Guest CT, you don't need a blog but if you'd like help in setting one up, there's lots of assistance the team can give you. You need to be responsible and commit to having your layouts done on time so that they can be showcased in Kelly's newsletter, Facebook, Blog and Gallery.

Q: What months are available? What if I'm going on vacation?
The 2-month spots are for August/September, October/November, January/February, March/April and May/June. In your application you can let Kelly know which of those 5 spots are better for you. You'll want to make sure that you can manage your time effectively in that 2-month window.

Here are all the details. Can't wait to see who joins the team!!

New Blog Challenge!

July is finally here and it's time for a new Kellybell Designs Blog Challenge. This month's theme is called "My Favorite". You'll need to think about what is your favorite Kellybell kit and scrap a page with only that kit. Boy, that's going to hard to do!!

Here's the participation prize you'll receive this month for playing along. CT member JessicaP has made a border cluster and cluster frame for you. Everyone who submits a layout will receive a participation prize. And the most outstanding layout will receive a gift certificate to Kelly's store.

Here are the rules and instruction to participation in the Monthly Blog Challenge:
  • Scrap a page using your favorite Kellybell Designs kit. You can only use items from that 1 collection (kit with matching word art, page starters and paper stacks) so make sure you choose wisely.
  • While the instructions are written for Walt Disneyworld, please adapt them for any of the other Disney parks around the world.
  • You can use as many photos as you want and include as many elements and papers that you choose. We want to see your creativity sparkle!
  • Layouts should be made with 100% Kellybell products or freebies (you are allowed to use a template from another designer). You are welcome to submit more than 1 layout.
  • Post your layout into the Challenges Gallery at Kellybell Designs by midnight EST July 31st. Participation prizes will be sent to the email address you have listed with Kelly's gallery.
The most outstanding layout will be announced the first week of August. That's also when the participation prizes will be sent out. Check your stash to see what Kellybell Designs kits you already own or take some time to browse through Kelly's store to see if you want to pick up a new collection to scrap with.

You can find lots of inspiration at Kelly's Blog to give you some ideas of what to scrap for this challenge. Take a look at my layout using my favorite Kellybell kit. One of my favorite kits is A Brave Fate which showcases Merida, the spunky Irish princess from the movie, Brave. With all the excitment of the recent induction of Merida as an official Disney Princes, I though it was fitting to create a LO for her to celebrate this event. I have never met her in person so I can't wait until our next trip to finally meet her. Here's my LO...

Images borrowed from Google search.

Here are the pieces of Kellybell Designs' kits that I used to create my LO. Wouldn't they go great with the participation prize for this month. Go and grab them today!

Enjoy your July! Keep cool and have a magical month!

Week Four Complete! I DID IT!! Part 1...

After a week of doing my maintenance runs on the treadmill (mainly due to not wanting to get up early enough so I didn't die in the heat...), I completed week 4 on a high note!! (Well almost high note...but more about that later.)
On Saturday, we went to a USO event sponsored by Lowe's at Nationals Park. We really didn't know what to expect, but boy were we amazed! They had a battle of the branches grill off, tours of the stadium and an incredible lunch...all the hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, etc you could eat. And the food wasn't cheapy either...it was a really nice spread. I was incredibly honored to be able to be apart of it. Can't wait til next year. I told Craig that he will need to sign up for the grilling competition. And just in case you didn't notice my post on FB, we had a chance to meet Carson Daly from The Voice. He was one of the celebrity judges, and he was such an incredibly nice guy. Truly down to earth!
(Sorry I just had to share my excitement AGAIN...He used to be a total teenage crush for me!)

So...on our drive to Nats Park, I told Craig that I wanted to run at East Potomac Park on Sunday. He thought that would be a good idea and I prayed for decent, non rainy weather. Saturday night, I do have to admit that I woke up in the middle of the night in slight panic attack mode. This isn't the first time either. I knew I had 4 miles....my longest run to date...that I had to complete and I really didn't know how I was going to do. Is this normal? Anyone else get super nervous like this? I honestly was terrified and didn't know what to expect!

6:30 AM Sunday morning....Are you kidding me??!?!?! Craig literally had to shake me awake! This princess needed her beauty sleep. I literally blind texted Craig (cuz I was still 80% ASLEEP!!) and asked him to bring me an energy drink, 5 Hour energy, caffeine, ice bucket of water....ANYTHING to wake me up. I knew it was do or die...and I wasn't in the mood to drop dead at that moment. :)
I think it ended up taking me almost an hour to get up, get ready, and get out the door...Holy Cow! I thought this stuff was suppose to get easier. We pulled into one of the parking lots and I was on my journey.

It was honestly amazing!!! As I left the park, I saw Craig turning around, so I knew that I wasn't going the way I originally thought I was going...So I crossed the bridge between the Potomac River waterway and the Tidal Basin and began my trek. Now granted I had walked around the Tidal Basin before but it felt so different now....I ran through the FDR Memorial, pass the Washington Monument from every different angle, past the MLK Jr Memorial, and around the Jefferson Memorial. It was the coolest thing I have done so far. And since I am still doing run/walk intervals, I did manage to pull out iPhone and take pictures during my walk interval.

At the beginning, as I was coming out of the Roosevelt Memorial, there was a fox, dumpster diving. Yes, folks, you read that right. He was attempting to jump into the trash can as I ran by...He literally looked right at me and stared...Funny thing, I was staring right back and the only thing I was thinking is, "OMG! Please do not attack me!" haha...
At one point, I looked at my Garmin and was shocked and  frustrated at the same time!! I hadn't even hit 2 miles yet!! Are you kidding me?!?!? At that point, I was thinking I was almost done...well, not really, but I totally thought I was time for me to turn around. :)
SO because I wasn't at the 2 mile mark, I kept on going...and then another point of panic hit me again. I knew where I was...but did I know how to get back to where I started. Uh oh! So for a few seconds of my mind racing, I looked across the bridge I was on and knew that I started where the Jefferson Memorial was so I had to get back there. Once I crossed the bridge, I ended up running the walkway along the Tidal Basin...pass the Jefferson after dodging the the tourists (once again, are you kidding me?!?!?! What the heck are y'all doing up this early on a Sunday!!!)...I saw the initial bridge that I had crossed and made the left. Home stretch...but I think I still had about a mile and a half to go...No worries! I was just completely amazed at myself at being able to go this far without stopping...without complaining...and I actually wanted to keep on going.
I literally hit mile 2 and started clapping for myself...and when I hit mile 3, I think I even started dancing and singing a bit...

Well...I didn't realize how late it was getting...I will get back tomorrow (or rather later today) to finish this experience.
Till then...nighty night!
